Cradles & Platforms
The cradle is where the work happens. Its length, controls and suspension are chosen to suit the façade, the task and the system it hangs from.
01
Hoist-driven cradles for monorail, roof car and fixed-base systems — documented at 2 m and 4 m lengths in Hauteur projects.
02
Platforms shaped for the building, such as the 4 m platform on a special davit system at NBE Cairo Plaza or curved cradles for rounded façades.
03
Custom-designed cradles for construction works, such as the eight special cradles supplied for the Almasa Alamein Hotel.
A cradle is never selected alone. Its weight, length and suspension points must match the roof car jib, the monorail trolley, the davit arms or the fixed-base outriggers, and the cradle must reach the façade without clashing with fins, canopies or signage.
Hauteur inspects cradles, hoists, wire ropes and safety devices as part of preventive maintenance.

Roof plan, typical sections and elevations, building height and number of floors, façade materials and any roof equipment or set-backs. Early drawings are enough to start system selection; details are refined as the design develops.
As early as possible — ideally during design development. Rails, sockets, anchors and roof loads affect the structure, the parapet and the roof finishes, and are far simpler to integrate before construction.
Share the roof plan, elevations and building height. A Hauteur engineer will review the façade and recommend an access strategy.

A track fixed to the building carries a trolley and a powered cradle along the façade — horizontally under the roof edge, or vertically on articulated elevations.

Fixed-base systems suspend a cleaning cradle from outriggers anchored at the roof edge. Telescopic suspension adds reach where the parapet or façade line requires it.

Some surfaces cannot be reached by a standard roof car, monorail or davit. Hauteur designs and supplies access equipment for the specific geometry.
