BMU systems
Permanent building maintenance units for tall and complex façades.

Façade Access & BMU
Façade-access systems are part of the building, not an afterthought. Hauteur develops access solutions around façade geometry, roof constraints, maintenance requirements and operator safety.
System selector
The right system depends on roof geometry, façade height, set-backs and how often the façade is cleaned or maintained. Switch between systems to compare how each one reaches the elevation.
A machine travels on a roof rail and lowers the cradle from a jib. Suited to tall buildings with a clear roof route and frequent cleaning.
Systems

Permanent building maintenance units for tall and complex façades.

Rail-mounted roof cars with a jib that lowers the cradle.

Horizontal and vertical monorails where roof space is limited.

Removable or special davits on permanent roof sockets.

Powered cradles, custom platforms and construction cradles.

Fixed outriggers and telescopic suspension for set roofs.
Design process
Hauteur's scope can extend from early system selection and engineering through supply, installation, commissioning, inspection, repair and lifecycle maintenance. Each project starts with the drawings: where the roof can carry a rail, where sockets can be placed, how far the jib must reach and which areas need a special solution.

Roof plan, typical sections and elevations, building height and number of floors, façade materials and any roof equipment or set-backs. Early drawings are enough to start system selection; details are refined as the design develops.
As early as possible — ideally during design development. Rails, sockets, anchors and roof loads affect the structure, the parapet and the roof finishes, and are far simpler to integrate before construction.
Yes. Hauteur surveys existing roofs and façades to propose a system that fits the structure as built, and also inspects and maintains existing access equipment.
Share the roof plan, elevations and building height. A Hauteur engineer will review the façade and recommend an access strategy.

A removable davit is fixed to permanent sockets on the roof perimeter to suspend a worker for façade cleaning or maintenance. At the end of the work, the davit is dismantled and stored.

Rope access lets trained technicians reach façades directly on two independent ropes. The system on the roof decides how safely and how efficiently they can work.

A horizontal lifeline gives workers a continuous attachment point as they move across a roof zone, without unclipping between anchors.
