Height Safety & Rope Access
Hauteur supports access and protection strategies with engineered davit, rope-access, lifeline and anchorage solutions, followed by inspection and lifecycle service.
Hierarchy of protection
A height-safety strategy starts by asking how people reach the work and what stops them from falling. Each layer below adds equipment and training, so the design aims for the simplest layer that fits the task.
Plan routes and equipment that keep people away from unprotected edges.
A lifeline or anchor that prevents a worker from reaching the fall hazard.
Davits and anchors that suspend trained technicians on main and safety ropes.
Engineered anchorage that safely arrests a fall where it cannot be prevented.
Systems

Removable 360° davit arms on permanent roof or parapet sockets.

Davit-supported rope access with main and safety ropes.

Horizontal lifelines for safe movement across roof zones.

Permanent anchorage positioned and coordinated with the structure.
Sockets, lifelines and anchors pass through waterproofing, sit on parapets and transfer loads into the structure. Hauteur coordinates their positions with the architect, the structural engineer and the roofing contractor so the system is safe, watertight and as discreet as possible.

A restraint system stops a worker reaching the edge, so a fall cannot start. A fall-arrest system allows the worker to reach the hazard and stops the fall after it begins. Restraint is generally preferred where the work allows it.
Yes. The roof build-up, waterproofing and parapet are surveyed first; davit bases, for example, are designed to suit the thickness of the existing waterproofing.
Share the roof plan and the work that needs to be done. Hauteur will review the roof and recommend davit, rope-access, lifeline or anchorage positions.

A removable davit is fixed to permanent sockets on the roof perimeter to suspend a worker for façade cleaning or maintenance. At the end of the work, the davit is dismantled and stored.

Rope access lets trained technicians reach façades directly on two independent ropes. The system on the roof decides how safely and how efficiently they can work.

Façade-access systems are part of the building, not an afterthought. Hauteur develops access solutions around façade geometry, roof constraints, maintenance requirements and operator safety.
