Laundry Chutes
Hotels, hospitals and private villas choose laundry chutes over service elevators for moving bulky linen from individual floors.
Waste Chutes
A seamless stainless-steel chute runs from the roof to the collection room, with a fire-rated hopper door on every floor.

Inside the chute
Select a component, or run the cleaning cycle to see the brush unit travel down the chute.
Extends at least 1200 mm above the roof and vents foul air to atmosphere.
Specifications
Typical values from the chute range in Hauteur's catalogue. The final specification is confirmed for each project and local regulations.
Automatic cleaning
The control panel locks every hopper door at 24 V.
The spray head releases water dosed with degreaser and disinfectant.
A motorised nylon brush unit scrubs the chute as it travels down and back.
Doors only unlock when the brush is parked at the top again.
During design. The chute needs a vertical shaft through every served floor, a roof vent and a discharge room at the bottom, all of which affect the architecture and fire strategy.
Systems can be equipped with a flushing spray head and a motorised brush unit that travels up and down the chute, with sanitising liquid dosed into the water flow. Regular maintenance keeps doors, interlocks and the cleaning system working.
Share the building type, number of floors and drawings if available. Hauteur will recommend the chute diameter, doors and discharge arrangement.

Recycling chutes enable separate disposal where waste is generated — saving space, reducing handling and turning recyclables into a resource for the building.

Doors that do not close, failed interlocks and odours are signs that a chute needs attention. Hauteur inspects, cleans and repairs chute systems.
